Woman in her 30s raped on Canal Street as police arrest four men

manchestereveningnews.co.ukFour men have been arrested after a woman was raped on Canal Street on Wednesday night. Emergency services rushed to the scene just before midnight and took a woman in her 30s to hospital.
The victim is currently being supported by specialist officers, a GMP spokeswoman said. Four men - aged 32, 33, 42 and 48 – have been arrested on suspicion of rape.

They all remain in custody for questioning. Photos from the scene showed part of the towpath running parallel to Canal Street had been cordoned off.
