Newcastle United are vying to compete at the very top of English football if their proposed £300million takeover is complete.
The Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF) is looking to take over the Magpies from Mike Ashley which would catapult them to the top of the Premier League owner rich list.
Manchester City have held that title since their takeover in 2008 that catapulted the club into a new era and which has seen them lift four Premier League titles.
Similarly, Roman Abramovic changed the fortunes at Chelsea and they continue to compete just behind City in the wealthiest owner table.
