While talk of the coronavirus pandemic is prevalent as it spreads through most part of the world, phrases such as 'self-isolation' and 'lockdown' are becoming commonplace.

The virus first began in the Chinese city of Wuhan toward the end of last year, which saw officials put the area on lockdown in January to help stop the spread, and although this was greeted with astonishment, it looks to have gradually proven successful.

Local authorities in China now say there has been no record of new infections of Covid-19 in the virus epicentre or in the surrounding Hubei province for the first time since the outbreak began.
