Ayrshire Live can reveal that platform 2 at the station will be used for all trains when passengers return after a devastating fire at the station.Engineers will continue to work at the crumbled platform 1, which caught ablaze last Saturday.It is understood that passengers will not able to use the platform for "several weeks" as intensive work takes place to assess the damage to the Victorian listed building.ScotRail have confirmed that passengers will not be able to buy a ticket at the station due to impact of the fire.No plans of a new station have been revealed yet.This week £500k was pledged by the Railway Heritage Trust in the hope of being able to restore the station back to its former glory.A spokesperson for Network Rail told.
