Thistles Centre earmarked for "futureproofing" effort to help post-Covid recovery

Join thousands of others in getting the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox.A London-based architecture firm has been given the task of “future-proofing” Stirling’s Thistles Centre as it emerges from the pandemic.POD Architects have been appointed by asset management group Scoop - who run the centre on behalf of its owners - and have been given the task of getting the centre back on its feet after losing stores such as Burton and the Debenhams outlet.The fresh plan comes as non-essential retail prepares to re-open its doors in Scotland on April 26, with hopes for a bounce-back year in 2021.It will include an effort to “creatively realise the reconfiguration of vacant spaces”, as well as responding to the changing dynamics.
