VIEWERS of new crime thriller The Tower have been left feeling shocked after being faced with some gory scenes within minutes of it starting.

Telly fans tuned into the ITV three-part drama on Monday night to see both a male police officer and a teenage girl dead at the bottom of a tower block.

The pair were in the street surrounded by large pools of blood. Taking to social media, some viewers of The Tower were horrified at how graphic the opening scenes were.
