The number of people testing positive went up by 14pc in the week up to December 22, according to data from Public Health England.The increase means Bury now has an infection rate of 225.1 cases per 100,000 people.Cases in the borough had fallen steadily in recent weeks but are now creeping up again.Along with the rest of Greater Manchester, Bury saw its infection rate fall significantly during the national lockdown in November.
