The Trafford Centre and Manchester's Arndale had originally reduced their services to shoppers as many stores were forced to close, but today both shopping centres are back up and running again. The Trafford Centre's opening hours will be Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 12noon-6pm.

On Monday, the Trafford Centre will open its doors to shoppers, as many of its 'non-essential' shops begin to operate for the first time in months.But while some shoppers are looking forward to things returning to 'normal' (or at least the new normal), some big changes have been put in place to ensure staff and shopper safety.Individual stores will have their own rules and guidelines for staff and shoppers to follow, but the Centre itself has gone to every effort to ensure that social distancing protocol is followed, and that shoppers keep their distance and clean their hands as frequently as possible.Upon arriving, shoppers may be asked to wait in a queue outside the Trafford Centre, to ensure that maximum shopper capacity is not

The Trafford Centre has adapted existing footfall-monitoring technology so stagg can accurately guage the number of people in every centre at any time. It will manage queues outside the centre when centres are at capacity.There will be a raft of other measures - including one-way systems, floor stickers and queues outside stores to ensure visitors stay socially-distanced once inside.'Enhanced hygiene regimes' introduced at the start of the outbreak will continue, with more deep cleaning of 'key areas' and 'touchpoints', such as escalators, toilets and keypads.

We’re all excited about the prospect of a little normality returning to our lives and with non essential retailers such as fashion stores set to open on the 15th of June there is a lot of speculation as to what your shopping experience may look like when doors are once again open.
