Alan, from Manchester, who is a special educational needs teacher, faced Anne Hegerty, aka The Governess, during yesterday's episode.
During his initial cash builder, Alan impressed when he got six questions right and won £6,000 that he decided to play with against Anne.
Viewers were rooting for the teacher as he zoomed through his questions getting them correct, but on his final question he made a huge error that ended up annoying those watching at home.
