Iconic BBC sitcom set to return with Downton Abbey star back in lead role

Star of the sitcom W1A Hugh Bonneville will return for its spin-off after a seven year hiatus.The mockumentary, which ran for three series, saw Hugh play lead character Ian Fletcher who became the Head of Values at the BBC. Jessica Hynes starred as Ian’s hapless PR, Siobhan. Also appearing across the show were the likes of Jason Watkins, Monica Dolan, Hugh Skinner, Bridgerton’s Jonathan Bailey and David Tennant as the narrator.

Bridgerton star Ruby Barker has been hospitalised with a broken arm following a climbing accident.The actress, who played Marina Thompson in the first series of the Netflix period drama, sustained the injury during a climbing class in Leeds, Yorkshire, where she was not using a harness.The accident, which was captured on camera, saw Barker fall from a climbing wall before landing awkwardly on her left arm. The actress was then rushed to hospital, where doctors confirmed the breakage.Barker shared the footage of her fall on Instagram, writing: “You ok?
