Steven Gerrard

Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,

Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.

Steven Gerrard has told supporters in the club's annual accounts he "will not rest" until his team is back to winning trophies.

The Ibrox outfit announced an operating loss of £15.9m for the past year on Friday night, an increase of £4.3m from the previous year's accounts.But that won't faze the gaffer as Gerrard insisted he remains focused on achieving his goals in Govan.

And he also offered his thanks to former club chairman Dave King, who stepped down just as lockdown took hold at the end of March to be replaced by Douglas Park.

Writing in the club's yearly report, Gerrard said: "The past year has seen several significant changes which have had a positive impact upon how we operate as a management team."I am personally grateful to Dave.
