Sony warns of continued PlayStation 5 shortages

The next-gen console was launched in November last year during the coronavirus pandemic and was met with near-instant stock shortages as fans around the world couldn't wait to get their hands on the newest PlayStation.

Now, over eight months later, PlayStation fans are still struggling to get their hands on the console and may have to continue patiently waiting.

In a public statement, SIE president Jim Ryan warned PlayStation fans that demand for the console is still outweighing the supply.
