Scots singer Amy Macdonald opens up on how tune 'This is the Life' shaped her future

'This is the Life' was released in 2007, and Amy let fans into a secret of how the song became a huge hit as she penned it after a night out.Performing from her home in Glasgow on her YouTube channel, Amy explained that she was extremely proud of the track.She said: "When I was 16 , I went out on a night out - shouldn't have been on a night out really - used my sisters ID, I loved that we looked enough a like that I could get away with it and just had a brilliant time and the next day I spent the next whole day in my bedroom - I think I was banished there and wrote this song."
