Schools likely to close by end of week amid coronavirus crisis

Schools and nurseries in West Lothian are likely to shut by the end of the week after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said closures across Scotland were now "inevitable".In her daily coronavirus briefing today the First Minister that the decision had come from the fact that due to self-isolation in households, too many staff and students are absent for many educational facilities to continue.She added that she expected ongoing new advice from scientists would tell the Government to close schools and said she couldn't guarantee that schools will reopen before summer break.It comes as the total number of deaths in Scotland due to Covid-19 rose to three.In Lothian there are now 33 cases and 227 nationally.The First Minister said: "My view is
