SARAH Harding told her Girls Aloud bandmates of her breast cancer battle in an emotional phone call just days before telling her fans, it has been reported.
The 38-year-old star bravely revealed that she was diagnosed with the disease earlier today - and that it has advanced to other parts of her body.
Sarah was quickly inundated with supportive messages from her famous friends - including former bandmates Cheryl, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, and Nadine Coyle.
And The Mirror have now reported that the girls are doing "everything they can" to support Sarah after she privately broke the sad news to them over the phone.
