The actor and his satirical sequel were among the winners at the virtual 2021 Golden Globes on Sunday evening (February 28), with Borat Subsequent Moviefilm landing the award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and Cohen himself picking up the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy gong.
Cohen previously picked up the same award in 2007 for Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, making him the first person to win the category twice with the same character.
