Ryan Giggs has admitted to being a “love cheat” and said that he has never been faithful, in court amid his current trial.The former footballer is facing allegations of controlling behaviour and assault against his ex girlfriend Kate Greville, all of which he has denied.

Giggs, 48, spoke about his reputation when it comes to his past relationships as he appeared at Manchester Crown Court on 16 August.The sportsman addressed his “infidelities” as he gave evidence in his defence in the case.

Gigg’s defence barrister Chris Daw QC questioned him: “And you’re known for something else. You have a reputation for infidelity, what the newspapers call a love cheat?” Giggs replied: “Yes”, to which Mr Daw followed up with: “Is that reputation justified?” Giggs answered: “Yes.” Mr Daw asked: “You’ve had relationships with women, have you managed to be faithful to any of them?” Giggs responded: “No.” Mr Daw continued to press the footballer, as he inquired: “If you're attracted to a woman are you able to resist?” Giggs said: “No”, as Mr Daw asked: “Are you a flirt by nature?” The sportsman acknowledged this as he replied: “Yes.” Turning focus on Gigg’s relationship with ex Kate, Mr Daw asked: “Have you lied to your ex wife and Ms Greville about being unfaithful?” Giggs admitted that he had cheated on ex partner Kate on several occasions, as he said in court: “I have yes.” Mr Daw urged: “More than once?” Ryan answered: “Many times.” This latest update in the case comes after Giggs said in court that an email he sent to his ex girlfriend with the header ‘Blackmail’ was a “joke”.The former Manchester United player was asked about an email he had allegedly sent Kate which included the word "blackmail" in the subject line.The email had a.
