A teenager made chilling murder threats as he walked around a housing estate swinging an axe around his head. When he was eventually apprehended by police, Mitchell Webster said: "It wasn't an axe - it was a machete.

Black lives don't matter." Fiscal depute Bill Kermode told Perth Sheriff Court: "Witnesses saw the accused swinging about what they initially thought was a white pole. "The accused walked towards them then he ran away.

They called police. They then saw him at the shops."The accused was heard to say 'I've not come all this way for nothing. I'm going to murder someone.' The witnesses followed the accused at a distance."Both got a clear view of the accused swinging an axe, and not a pole as they thought.

They continued to follow at a distance and flagged down police."The accused climbed over various fences, hiding at the rear of the shops and away from the police.
