Charles Ingram
Charles William Ingram (born 6 August 1963) is an English novelist, computer repairman, and former British Army major who became known for being accused and convicted of cheating on the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2001, after winning the maximum prize of one million pounds. Following a lengthy trial at Southwark Crown Court, he was convicted on a single count of procuring the execution of a valuable security by deception. He was convicted of an unrelated insurance fraud in 2003, and ordered to resign his commission as a major by the Army Board.

Quiz star Michael Sheen isn't happy ITV got his name wrong - it appears an announcer confused him for another Hollywood actor

You’d think that being the star in a top flight drama programme would mean that the channel airing it would get your name right.

But for Quiz star Michael Sheen, this was too much to ask. The actor and impersonator was less than impressed when ITV got his name wrong ahead of the second episode.

The hapless continuity announcer instead called him Martin Sheen - appearing to get him mixed up with the American actor. Oops.

Michael tweeted: “Hey @ITV  the least you can do is get my name right in your trailers FFS.” The three-part ITV drama follows the story of Major Charles Ingram who scammed Who Wants to be a Millionaire of its jackpot in 2001 with the help of his wife Diana and their coughing pal Tecwen Whittock.
