Encountered at 13 years old by talent manager Scooter Braun after he had watched the boy's YouTube cover song videos, Bieber was signed to RBMG Records in 2008. Bieber's debut EP, My World, released in late 2009, made Bieber the first artist to have seven songs from a debut record chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

In a new initiative, launched by Greater Manchester Police, people who have been subject to abuse will be able to meet the people who committed crimes against then- or explain how the crimes have impacted their lives in a letter.
The idea is that victims will be able to talk about what happened and ask for an apology in a bid to 'feel empowered'. The perpetrators will also have the chance to take responsibility for their actions.
