Scottish pubs and venues which are flouting the government's coronavirus guidance will now be closed by police. Police Scotland is now set to close down any establishment which has failed to comply with the shutdown of pubs, cafes, restaurants and leisure centres across the UK in a bid to tackle Covid-19.
Venues which have failed to comply with the government guidance have been blasted by one of Scotland's top cops for "recklessly endangering lives" amid the virus outbreak.
It comes after police had to swoop on an incident at a pub in Greenock on Saturday which was packed with punters after it remained open in defiance of government advice.
