Perth households left frustrated after council refuses to empty 'contaminated' recycling bins

Council refuse collection workers found some blue bins with greasy pizza boxes and plastic bags in them, among other issues.

It comes after PKC’s Waste Services Team carried out ‘blue bin monitoring’ in areas across Perth last week. On Monday, while out in Hillyland and Fairfield with refuse truck ‘Bindiana Jones’, workers saw lots of bins “being used correctly”, however, there were also “many that were contaminated”.PKC has previously said that contamination in blue bins “costs money, ruins the hard work of those recycling
