Hinds have shared their latest track ‘Boom Boom Back’ featuring Beck, and announced their new album ‘VIVA HINDS’.Serving as the album’s lead single, ‘Boom Boom Back’ the breezy track features a crisp guitar riff with the duo – Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote – and Beck asks “If you wanna fall in love in a bar tonight / Do you wanna fall in love with a broken heart? / Do you wanna ride? Ride in my Mirage? / Do you wanna be the one that feels the “Boom-Boom” back?”The song was the first track the duo wrote for the album following a creative rut in 2020 after the release of their third album ‘The Prettiest Curse’. They went on to join forces with Beck after the duo met by chance at a film screening on a trip to LA.Directed by Perote and Cosials, the track’s accompanying music video sees the two walking and driving all around Los Angeles in matching black outfits. The single is the second song to be released from the Spanish indie rockers’ upcoming album ‘VIVA HINDS’.

Wet Leg has alleged his contribution to several songs wasn’t “recognised” by the band.The former member, who is also the ex-partner of member Rhian Teasdale, has spoken to The Times, claiming he wasn’t given songwriting credits on several songs. He also claims the band name came from a conversation he had with his brother and not, as the band have explained previously, via combining emojis at random on a keyboard.The band are led by Hester Chambers (lead guitarist and backing vocalist) and Teasdale (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), alongside Ellis Durand (bass, backing vocals) and Henry Holmes (drums, percussion)Speaking about the band name, Doug Richards claimed: “For years me and a couple of friends had lists of stupid band names,” he explained. “Anytime you’d think of a funny combination of words you’d write it down.

Dave Grohl made a surprise appearance during Wet Leg‘s set at the second weekend of Coachella 2023.The Isle Of Wight duo were introducing a staple of their live set, where they get the audience to let out a long scream, when the Foo Fighters frontman came on stage.

Thania Garcia Coachella 2023 is just two weeks away and on Monday the festival announced plans to amp up the reach of its global lineup with the addition of three extra live stream feeds. For the first time, the festival will be live on YouTube across all six stages on both weekends starting April 14 at 4:00 p.m. PT and continuing on April 21 at the same time. For those who can’t tune in live, performances will be made available each night following the evening’s live stream, while many of the top-billed acts will also be available on demand. As was previously announced, Bad Bunny, Blackpink and Frank Ocean will headline the 2023 Coachella festival, featuring additional appearances by Rosalía, Becky G, Gorillaz, Burna Boy, Wet Leg, Metro Boomin and many more.

Wet Leg have died following illnesses.Miniature donkey Angelica, who has the same name as the fifth single released from their self-titled 2022 debut album, died on Saturday (March 25). And older donkey called Jill died on the same day.Last year, Wet Leg became the first celebrity ambassadors to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary.The charity told BBC News that both animals had been “closely monitored for a while and both had various health issues that were causing concern”.Wet Leg, who are from the Isle of Wight, first adopted a donkey named Archie Baby from the sanctuary.

S Club 7 have discussed the possibility of returning to the studio after announcing a reunion tour in celebration of their 25th anniversary.The pop group have reunited once before, for a UK arena tour in 2015, but haven’t released any new music since their 2003 farewell single ‘Love Ain’t Gonna Wait For You’ / ‘Say Goodbye’.At a press conference in London earlier this week (February 14), band member Jon Lee described the prospect of adding to their discography as “exciting”.“It’s something that we have spoken about and something that we would all be up for, but at the minute we’re just seeing how the tour goes first,” Lee added.During their original run, S Club 7 released four studio albums and scored 11 consecutive UK Top Five hits with bangers including ‘Bring It All Back’, ‘Never Had A Dream Come True’, ‘Don’t Stop Movin”, ‘Natural’ and ‘Reach’.However, the band confirmed this week that there is still space in their setlist for deep cuts. “We had loads of album tracks, B-sides [and] songs that were performed on the TV series that [our fans] have never seen us perform live before, so we’d love to hear via social media if there’s anything they would love to see,” Lee said.Meanwhile, Lee’s bandmate Tina Barrett revealed that she is a fan of Wet Leg after catching their performance at last weekend’s BRIT Awards.

In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Good Music — a project of author Dave Eggers and music exect Jordan Kurland — has announced a new compilation with dozens of artists benefitting abortion non-profits in the United States.

Wet Leg have updated fans on why they didn’t perform two of their recent US tour dates, citing “mental and physical health” concerns.The duo have been touring their “instant classic” debut album across the States, and were due to play Abiquiú, New Mexico and the Westword Music Showcase in Denver, Colorado on September 9 and 10 respectively. You have to wipe down the inside first, ’cause it gets quite warm and sweaty in there.”Teasdale added: “It was so disgusting – so disgusting!”Later, Chambers recalled how touring Wet Leg member Josh Omead Mobaraki “accidentally” came up with a part for the group’s hit single ‘Chaise Lounge’ by tinkering on his pocket piano.Henry Holmes, who plays drums for the duo, remembered being “fucking mind blown” by Wet Leg before he joined their live line-up.

Wet Leg have spoken about the “really cool” experience of seeing Harry Styles cover their single ‘Wet Dream’.The pop star recorded a live version of the song in May as part of a special Live Lounge session on BBC Radio 1. It came after Wet Leg – aka Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers – were announced as the support act for Styles’ 2023 Australian/New Zealand tour.During a new interview with Apple Music 1, Teasdale recalled first hearing the ‘Harry’s House’ star’s spin on the track when the duo were in a splitter van on the way to a live show.“We were just on our phones, doing a good scroll sesh, and then gradually, one by one, we were like, ‘Oh my God, have you seen this? Oh my God, this appeared on the internet, and it’s Harry Styles covering ‘Wet Dream”,” she remembered.“Hester always describes it as [being like] we were watching intergalactic television like on Rick and Morty.

Glastonbury Festival, a number of artists have seen an uplift on the UK’s Official Albums Chart this week.According to new Official Charts Company data, artists including Billie Eilish, Sam Fender, Diana Ross and Wet Leg have seen a boost in their sales and streams after their Glastonbury sets.Billie Eilish, who became the festival’s youngest-ever headliner on Friday (June 24), has enjoyed a jump in this week’s Official Albums Chart Top 40. Her last album ‘Happier Than Ever’ had an 84 per cent week-on-week boost to its combined weekly sales and streams in total, placing it on Number 10.Previous album, 2019’s ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’, is also up by 36 spots to Number 25, while Eilish’s debut ‘Don’t Smile At Me’ makes it to Number 39.Elsewhere, Sam Fender’s ‘Seventeen Going Under’ doubles its weekly sales and streams tally, surging 110 per cent week on week while enjoying a jump of 44 chart places back into the Official Albums Chart Top 20 (19). The album’s title tack has also risen 40 places to Number 20.Wet Leg’s sales and streams of their eponymous debut album are up 71 per cent over the past seven days, while Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘SOUR’ enjoys a 30 per cent weekly boost and Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘Mr.

Yard Act have been named in a new study as this summer’s most-booked new music act on the European festival circuit.The annual study, which is conducted by the European talent exchange programme ESNS Exchange, sheds a light on “the most promising European emerging acts of the moment”.Yard Act have come out on top of this year’s study, racking up 11 bookings at ESNS Exchange-affiliated festivals in 2022.The four-piece are three ahead of Ukrainian rapper Alyona Alyona, Priya Ragu and Wet Leg, who have eight European festival bookings each.
