The BBC has hit rock bottom with Waterloo Road’s woke reboot – they’ve completely ruined the show
IN its heyday, Waterloo Road was a ground-breaking drama. First airing in 2006, the series starred the likes of Cutting It star Jason Merrells as the struggling headmaster Jack Rimmer, Philip Martin Brown as disgruntled dinosaur Grantley Budgen, and Jill Halfpenny as keen drama teacher Izzy Redpath. The series was bold in it’s approach in the subjects which included, bullying, drug use, class divides, homosexuality, cancer, teenage pregnancy, sexual assault, corruption, baby smuggling, underage sex work, young carers, drunk driving, drug dealing, gangs and guns.
