Stevie Nicks warns aspiring musicians to set aside $30,000 for rehab
Stevie Nicks has opened up on her battle with drug addiction in the ’70s and ’80s, urging any aspiring musician to set aside $30,000 for rehab when they get older.The Fleetwood Mac rock star endured troubled days with drink and drug issues in the early days of the Go Your Own Way group, which culminated in a trip to the Betty Ford Center for treatment.And in a new interview, Nicks, now 72, admits it is impossible to stop musical creatives with addictive tendencies from problematic spirals.“I don’t think you can tell a drug addict what to do, I think a drug addict has to wake up one morning and say, ‘I’m a drug addict and I’m dying and I’m not going to do it anymore,'” says the Dreams star, according to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper.“I
