PEAKY Blinders fans were left fuming at the end of the BBC gangster drama and it was not because of the plot. Viewers who tuned in to the final ever episode of the Birmingham-based series were disappointed not to hear the original version of its iconic theme song.
Across the six seasons, the song Red Right Hand echoed at the beginning of every Peaky Blinders episode. Originally penned and performed by Australian rockers Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Red Right Hand became a staple of the series as much as the crime, violence and paperboy caps.
The song is about a man who is part demon part God who stalks the land scaring and impressing wherever he goes, but no one knows who the idea is based on - although the description sort of fits with Peaky leader Tommy Shelby.
