The French midfielder provided Roma with an unlikely route back into the Europa League semi final first-leg when he handled from Rick Karsdorp's cross into the box.
Pogba had already committed to a sliding challenge when the ball hit his trailing arm, which was raised above his head. Although the French international could do little to move his arm out of the way, the letter of the law states it should have been a penalty because his arm was in such an unnatural position.
