Oprah Gail Winfrey (born Orpah Gail Winfrey; January 29, 1954) is an American media executive, actress, talk show host, television producer, and philanthropist. She is best known for her talk show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, broadcast from Chicago, which was the highest-rated television program of its kind in history and ran in national syndication for 25 years from 1986 to 2011. Dubbed the "Queen of All Media", she was the richest African American of the 20th century and North America's first black multi-billionaire, and she has been ranked the greatest black philanthropist in American history. By 2007, she was sometimes ranked as the most influential woman in the world.

Oprah Winfrey took a tumble onstage during the Los Angeles stop on her Oprah’s 2020 Vision: Your Life on Focus Tour on Saturday (February 29, 2020).

The media mogul is currently touring the U.S. with her show and, during her penultimate event at The Forum in California, while talking about wellness and balance, and what it means to her, the star suffered an unfortunate fall. “Wellness to me means all things in balance, and balance doesn’t mean all things are equal or at peace at all times,” she says in a video captured and posted on Twitter, before she takes a step and falling to the ground. “Wrong shoes,” she jokingly added.

Thankfully, The Color Purple star didn’t seem to be hurt, and she continued the show barefoot to avoid a repetition
