A Bury nurse was surprised with a baby shower on her driveway after her plans were ruined amid the coronavirus lockdown. Linzi Leigh received an invite to her 'socially distant baby shower' on Wednesday (April 22) outside her home on Cedar Avenue, Whitefield.
She was met by a group of kind-hearted neighbours who had decorated her car with pink balloons and a banner. The 31-year-old was even treated to afternoon tea - complete with alcohol-free bubbly.
Ms Leigh had two baby showers planned before the arrival of her baby girl, due next week. The first was with family and friends and the second with colleagues, who are working on the front line at Royal Bolton Hospital 's COVID-19 ward.
