NIGELLA Lawson left viewers blushing with a "shameless" innuendo about "fingers and mounds" on her cooking show. The BBC are airing reruns of 2017's Nigella: At My Table, but her trademark double entendres have left people blushing.

Throughout the episode, Nigella made savoury French toast, homemade koftas and a rose and pepper pavlova. The making of the sausage-like koftas proved too much for one viewer, who said: "I can't believe that watching Nigella shaping these sausage-like koftas is good for me." However, it was while making the pavlova that fans really started to notice the wordplay.

While laying out whipped cream on the base, she said: "I want a swirling mound. And don't ever worry about some cracks and splinters in the pav base.".
