Niantic has defended recent changes to Pokémon Go and clarified that they will not be reverted, which some fans feel has made the game less safe and accessible to play.In a letter titled ‘A response to our Pokémon Go community’, Niantic has defended its decision to revert changes that were made to increase player safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.The reverted changes in question mean that players will once again need to get closer to Gyms and Pokéstops, both of which could be accessed from much further away throughout most of the pandemic.Players have protested the removal of this change, with an open letter circulating the community under ‘#HearUsNiantic‘.
