New 5G mast plan from Three as phone firm propose build across from Ayrshire school

Ayrshire school and nurseryThree want to place the 18-metre structure — almost 60ft — near Irvine's Castlepark Primary school and early years centre.Plans submitted to North Ayrshire Council show that the phone mast would be taller than nearby trees at Castlepark Circle, just before the junction at Carron Place.A number of cabinets would also be stationed at the site, if blueprints are approved.Proposals submitted by CK Hutchison Networks (UK) Limited said that the area was "a highly constrained cell search area."The statement continues: "There is now a requirement to upgrade the UK CK Hutchison Networks (UK) Ltd (Three) network to provide improved coverage and capacity, most notably in relation to 5G services."This proposal is for a 18.0m.
