Ryan Murphy, the creator of shows like Glee, Ratched, Pose and American Horror Story is back with a brand-new show that is taking one of the most divisive designers in American fashion.

Roy Halston Frowick, who was known as Halston in the fashion world, was one of American’s first superstar designers. Even before he reached international fame, he had already created an item that has taken a proud place in the fashion history books: Jackie Kennedy’s pillar-box hat.

Halston dressed everyone from Bianca Jagger to Iman, he was screenprinted by Andy Warhol, name-dropped in a Sister Sledge song and his signature slinky and minimalist dresses have become an enduring staple of 70s style.
