On the day Stephen Robinson resigned as Motherwell manager, 'Well fan John Brown took a pop at Gallagher in response to an exclusive interview with last night, in which the defender said the players should take responsibility for their run of nine games without a win and not the manager.

Gallagher is out of contract at Fir Park in the summer and, with less than six months remaining on his contract, he can speak to other clubs about a move away from Motherwell.

But the suggestion that he was "more interested in a move" irked the skipper and he fired back at the supporter, telling him nothing could be further from the truth.
