More than 500 positive cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Trafford in just seven days.The infection rate in the borough currently stands at 259.1 per 100,000 people and it’s climbing.Between September 27 and October 3, a total of 558 positive tests were confirmed in Trafford, according to Public Health England’s data.Trafford sits in the middle of the 10 Greater Manchester boroughs in term of its infection rate at the moment, but the ‘steep’ increase in its infection rate this last week has caused concern for health bosses.The borough saw the second highest rise in its infection rate of any borough in the city region – and certain areas of the borough remain an ‘extreme concern’ for the Director of Public Health for Trafford;.
