Michael Keaton was the first winner of the night at the Emmys! The 71-year-old actor won the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie at the 2022 Emmy Awards on Monday night (September 12) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Michael was joined at the event by Dopesick co-stars Peter Sarsgaard (with wife Maggie Gyllenhaal), Rosario Dawson (with Rent co-star Tracie Thoms), Mare Winningham (with husband Anthony Edwards), Michael Stuhlbarg, and creator Danny Strong. During his speech, Michael called out his “doubters.” “Over the years we’ve all been through a lot of tough times.
There have been some doubters. I’ve had some doubters. You know what? We’re cool. But I also had those people for all these years when times were rough who were the true believers,” he said.
