Marvel Studios Announces Phase 5 Lineup at Comic-Con 2022

Over the weekend, Marvel Studios announced their big Phase 5 and Phase 6 plans with a slate of titles/release dates. Of course, their “Fantastic Four” was part of those updates, and we learned that the Phase 6 pic is set for release on November 8, 2024.

Zack Sharf Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed at Comic-Con that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will finally get more “Avengers” movies with the 2025 releases of “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers: Secret Wars.” The first three “Avengers” movies were all separated by three years each, while one year separated the debuts of “Infinity War” and “Endgame.” With “The Kang Dynasty” set for May 2025, there will officially be a six-year Avengers gap on the big screen. Feige recently explained to MTV News the long hiatus.“The truth is, when we were doing Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3, there were less projects over more years,” Feige said.

It’s now 2022, and Marvel is moving forward with that project without Gunn, who might have scratched that itch after making “The Suicide Squad” and the HBO Max series “Peacemaker.” It was revealed back in June that “Frank & Robot” director Jake Schreier would be helming the film, and while not a lot of details were revealed in the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con today, the film was given a summer 2024 release date, July 26, 2024, to be exact.

Kevin Feige took the stage at Comic-Con to announce the first three titles of Phase 6, including the much-anticipated ‘Fantastic Four‘ movie and two brand new ‘Avengers’ films: ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty‘ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’ Marvel also announced the name for this phase: the Multiverse Saga, confirming many fans’ suspicious that the multiverse was their current endgame all along.
