With many summer holidays now looking unlikely, holidaymakers in the UK are looking to either cancel or rearrange their trips.
As a result of holiday cancellations, some people have been offered refund vouchers instead of cash refunds, but they've caused some anger and confusion with travellers.
Some companies have claimed the credit notes are ATOL protected and should the company go bust they will still be able to get their money back, reports The Mirror.
Now Martin has given an update on this in his Money Saving Expert newsletter and advised that people affected by cancelled flights that accepting a voucher rather than cash would make it “unlikely you'll be able to claim on a debit/credit card if the firm goes bust”.
