Manchester United will compete against Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Everton for the signature of Inter defender Diego Godin this summer, according to reports.

Although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward have both warned that the upcoming transfer window will likely be unrecognisable from previous editions, United are still planning to pursue their top targets.

A new winger, playmaker and centre-midfielder are at the top of the list yet United have continued to be linked with a number of centre-backs, including Kalidou Koulibaly, Dayot Upamecano and Ruben Dias.

The latest name to reemerge is the Uruguayan Godin, who was touted to move to Old Trafford on countless occasions while at Atletico Madrid.
