Manchester United are realistic about the remote possibility of signing Harry Kane after the striker suggested he would be open to leaving Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane, 26, said in an Instagram Live video at the weekend 'if I don't feel we are progressing as a team or going in the right direction, I am not someone to stay there for the sake of it' and United are long-term admirers of the England captain.
Tottenham are under mounting financial pressure following the completion of their £1billion stadium, and chairman Daniel Levy confirmed on Tuesday the club has imposed a 20 per cent cut on all 550 non-playing staff amid the coronavirus pandemic.
