The victim, 45, is now recovering in hospital following the attack on Friday night. Police have arrested a man and woman and are appealing for any witnesses to the attack to come forward.
The incident began inside the property on Worthington Street in Old Trafford at around 10pm on May 1 and then spilled out into the road.
A man was dragged out of the property and then had his head and body stamped on. Paramedics were called to the scene and the ambulance service then called Greater Manchester Police.
