Manchester City could face competition from Manchester United for the signing of Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo according to new reports, despite Pep Guardiola meeting with his agent this week.
The defender is attracting interest from across Europe after breaking through into the Catalan giants’ side over the last couple of years.
The 22-year-old has entered the final 18 months of his contract at the Camp Nou, and efforts to tie him down to a new deal have recently stalled, meaning Barca may be looking at losing one of their most promising talents.
Speculation over Araujo’s future went into overdrive this week when Guardiola was seen alongside his agent, although reports in Spain have suggested it is instead United who could pounce first.
