Man charged with attempted murder after man stabbed in the neck and shots fired in Hulme

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a 49-year-old man was stabbed in the neck in Hulme. Police were called to reports of a 'disturbance' on Eliza Street in Hulme in the early hours of Monday morning, February 7.

The road was taped off at the junction with Royce Road as officers conducted enquiries. Investigations found a male with stab wounds and also discovered that a firearm had also been discharged. The victim was rushed to hospital in a serious condition with a stab wound to his neck, but has since been released.
