Officers with armed with guns and tasers surrounded a vehicles near a car wash on Pleasant Street, off Rochdale Road on Wednesday.

Police have now confirmed that a knife was recovered from the car. A man, 32, was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a bladed article.
