This year’s Love Island is almost at a finish and it has brought so much drama that viewers may need a year to recover from.

Before the series began, producers revealed that “sex will be shown” and speaking to OK! Mike Spencer explained that each intimate moment shared between Islanders will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis and will mostly make it into the final cut.

A spokesperson for the show revealed that there is a strict briefing for all islanders regarding acceptable behaviour before they go in.They also added that everyone who stars on the show must adhere to "strict guidelines on sexual behaviour in the villa" and that there is a “constant monitoring of islander behaviour”.

In particular, self-pleasure is apparently prohibited in the villa. Former islander Simon Seares previously explained that "everyone is uptight" as "some lads suffer after doing nothing for four weeks." Nudity is also a definite no-no.
