Love Island’s Jacques O'Neill insists he’s ‘over’ ex Gemma Owen

Love Island contestant Jacques O'Neill has insisted he is over ex Gemma Owens. The rugby player entered the villa on Sunday 12 June in a shock twist.

And in Monday night’s episode, he claimed to fellow islander Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu that is he over Gemma, 19. The pair dated for eight months before splitting a year and a half ago. "Are you over Gemma?" Ekin-Su asked as the pair sat by the fire pit. "Yeah, course I am," Jacques replied. "You want her to be happy, yeah?" Ekin-su added, as Jacques proceed to say he still "cares" for the 19 year old daughter Michael Owen.

We were together at the end of the day, and if I see her upset in here, I'll give her a hug and be like, 'I'm here for you'," he said.
