Love Island’s Amy Hart has opened up about wanting to book constant ultrasounds for reassurance as she struggles with pregnancy anxiety.

The star recently announced she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend Sam Rason. And while she couldn’t be happier about the news, the 30 year old says she has also been plagued with worry that something will “go wrong”.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Amy told us: “We went for a scan at six weeks as I needed to know there was something there. “I had another recently and I was anxious, as I was like: ‘What if I get there and something has happened?’ We’re so excited and planning so much but things do go wrong.” She continued: “I also felt really sick, so I had a can of ginger ale and the sugar woke the baby up – during the scan, they were kicking their legs and waving their arms, which was amazing. “Like with the tests, I’ve wanted to book scans all the time and Sam was like, “Are we just going to have a scan every week for the next nine months just to check?!” and I was like, “No,” but you do worry. “I’m a real Googler and an overthinker.

I got a bit of trapped wind and stomach cramps and any time I had pain on either side, I thought it was an ectopic pregnancy.” Amy has also had to deal with a diagnosis of the STI human papillomavirus (HPV).
