flames sparking traffic chaos on one of Scotland's busiest motorways.The trailer attached to the HGV went on fire just before 9.30am on Saturday.The inferno took place on the M80 southbound at junction three near Mollinsburn, North Lanarkshire.Emergency services raced the scene and one lane was closed causing delays on the carriageway.Photos show a number of police vehicles as well as two fire trucks blocking lanes on the motorway.The fire was put out on the hard shoulder.No injuries have been reported.The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed.Traffic Scotland warned that traffic was slow on approach in the area.Police Scotland confirmed their attendance.A spokesperson told the Record: "We were called at around 9.20am following reports.
