Kilmarnock town centre was dealt another body blow this week as another big brand pulled out of the town. Superdrug is set to close its doors permanently as high street retailers feel the pinch following the coronavirus pandemic.A sign in the shop’s King Street store says that the shop will close for good this Saturday.Now staff at the health and beauty retailer – which has hundreds of shops in the UK – face an uncertain future.The nearest Superdrug store for Kilmarnock shoppers is in Irvine’s Rivergate Shopping Centre.Kilmarnock has been hit hard in the wake of the national lockdown following the COVID-19 crisis with a number of shops and hospitality venues closing their doors for good.Last week we told you that DW Sports at the Glencairn.
