Kieran Tierney continued to rise. The Arsenal star produced another stellar showing for Scotland and weighed in with a hat-trick of assists against the Faroe Islands in World Cup 2022 qualifying on Wednesday night.
Tierney, named man of the match in the weekend draw with Israel, was again played out of his natural position by Steve Clarke.The former Celtic full-back featured on the left side of a back three but it didn’t faze him.
Tierney has been moved from his normal spot so he and Liverpool man Andy Robertson can play in the same team as Clarke looks to guide his side to their second successive major finals after qualifying for Euro 2020.
